§ 26-512. Abutting show windows to be moved off sidewalks; exceptions in Vieux Carré.

  • (a)

    All show windows or show cases in the city attached to or forming part of any building or structure and having their bases resting on the public sidewalks on the first or ground floor of any building or structure, which project beyond the property line onto the sidewalk forming part of the public street on which such building or structure shall be abutting, shall be removed and made to retire entirely within the limits of the property line of the property on which any building or structure shall be located and of which such show window or show case forms a part.

    (b)

    The provisions of this section shall not apply to abutting show windows in the Vieux Carré of this city where the provisions of section 166-4 are complied with.
