§ 26-511. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

First or ground floor means the first floor or floor level of any building or structure above or on the same plane as the surface of the sidewalk. There shall be excluded from this definition basements or cellars the floors of which are below the plane of the surface of the sidewalk.
