§ 82-119. Period within which dead bodies must be interred.

  • All dead bodies shall be interred within 24 hours after death during the summer and 36 hours during the winter months, unless permission is obtained in special cases from the department of health to withhold them from burial for a longer period. In the case of death from a contagious or infectious disease, the department of health may require and enforce the earlier burial of the corpse.
