§ 34-8. Parade routes generally.

(a)

Length. The maximum length of any carnival parade route shall not exceed seven miles, exclusive of formation and disbanding areas.

(b)

Special conditions. The following special conditions shall apply:

(1)

No parade route shall cross the Industrial Canal.

(2)

No parade route shall include any of the streets bounded by Canal Street, Esplanade Avenue, Rampart Street and the Mississippi River, except that parade routes may include Canal Street and Rampart Street.
