§ 14-125. Permission and license tax required for giving ball.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to give, within the limits of the city, any public balls of any description unless permission in writing is previously obtained from the director of the department of finance to give such ball and after payment of the license tax.

    (1)

    Closing balls illegally held. Whenever the provisions of this section shall be violated the mayor shall cause the ball to be closed immediately by the police.

    (2)

    Prolongation of ball beyond permit hours. No public ball shall be prolonged beyond the hour fixed by the permit of the director of the department of finance.
