§ 146-547. Insurance requirements for public transit shelters.

  • (a)

    Proof of commercial general liability insurance with limits of not less than $500,000.00 per occurrence/$1,000,000.00 aggregate combined single limit for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage liability. The insurance shall name the City of New Orleans as an additional insured, and shall provide for 30-days prior written notice to the department of safety and permits if coverage is substantially changed, cancelled, or not renewed.

    (b)

    The permittee or transit agency served by the permitted public transit shelter shall maintain on file with the City of New Orleans Risk Manager a current certificate of insurance certifying the coverage required above for the life of the permit. The certificate of insurance shall be subject to the approval as to form by the City of New Orleans Risk Manager. Failure to maintain such certificate of insurance shall be cause for revocation of the permit.
