§ 146-546. Regulations applicable to public transit shelters.

  • Sidewalk use permit requirements and standards provided in sections 146-531 through 146-545 of this division shall apply to the installation and maintenance of public transit shelters placed on public rights of way for the general use and welfare of the public. Public transit shelters shall be temporary structures that are typically located at the curb adjacent to a street or in a median, designed with a shelter, which may be designed to include a sign and/or lighting, for the purpose of providing a covered waiting area for passengers boarding or alighting public transit vehicles.
