§ 146-239. Abandonment prohibited.

  • No owner, lessee or operator shall cause or permit his abandoned, litterprone or illegally fixed newsbox or newsstand to remain on any public or private property within the city. No owner, lessee or operator shall cause or permit his newsbox or newsstand to become abandoned, litterprone or illegally fixed. Nothing in this section, however, shall prohibit the storage of any newsbox or newsstand that is not being used for the vending, distribution or circulation of printed matter in a lawful place of storage on private property with the consent of the owner of such property.
