§ 46-88. Certification procedures.

The mayor's office of economic development shall certify for enterprise zone program participation each business which has been approved by endorsement resolution of the city council and has received approval from the state board of commerce and industry. Application for certification shall be made on forms provided by the mayor's office of economic development and such certification shall be effected under contract with the city providing for the rebate of city sales taxes paid to the vendor. Such contract shall include the terms and conditions relative to hiring and eligible purchases under the enterprise zone program as established by law and by regulation of the office of economic development and shall establish the right of the city to require termination of the contract for material noncompliance and further to recover any sales tax rebates issued prior to termination of the contract for material noncompliance.
