§ 158-234. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Presiding officer or presiding designated agent means the president of the council, or his substitute in his absence, or any person appointed by the council to conduct hearings.

    Whenever any term is not defined in this section or whether any provision hereof is ambiguous, or whenever any case or issue is not provided for herein, the meaning or rule of procedure applicable shall be determined to the fullest extent consistent and compatible with this article by resort to the Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure, subject to the provision of section 158-233.
