§ 154-1474. Muffler and exhaust system requirements.

(a)

Every motorcycle and motor-driven cycle shall at all times be equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation.

(b)

No person shall use a muffler cutout, bypass or similar device upon a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle on a street of the city.

(c)

No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the muffler originally installed on the vehicle, and the original muffler shall comply with all of the requirements of this section.
