§ 154-779. Damaging or removal of immobilization devices prohibited.

It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to release, deface, injure, tamper with, break, destroy, remove or impair the usefulness of or cause any person to release, deface, injure, tamper with, break, destroy, remove or impair the usefulness of any immobilization device which has been attached to a vehicle in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, with the exception of the authorized removal of a "self releasing boot" as provided in section 154-778.
