§ 146-543. Fees.
(a)
Upon initial submission of an application for a sidewalk use permit, a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 shall be remitted to the department of safety and permits.
(b)
Fees for new issuance or renewal of sidewalk use permits shall be assessed in accordance with the following schedule, which shall be sufficient to administer and enforce the regulations of this program and to compensate the city for use of public property:
(1)
A-frame sign: $200.00 per approved sign.
(2)
Display devices: $200.00 per approved device.
(3)
Any other approved sidewalk use: $200.00 per device.
(4)
Sidewalk cafés:
a.
In the area bounded by the Mississippi River, Poland Avenue, St. Claude Avenue, McShane Place, N. Rampart Street, Canal Street, S. Claiborne Avenue, Pontchartrain Expressway, St. Charles Avenue, Broadway Street, Maple Street, S. Carrollton Avenue, Oak Street, to the Mississippi River, inclusive of both sides of bounding streets: $350.00 per table (up to four seats), $100.00 per seat for tables seating more than four persons.
b.
In all other areas: $200.00 per table (up to four seats), $75.00 per seat for tables seating more than four persons.
(c)
Sidewalk use permit fees shall be payable at the time of permit issuance or renewal and are non-refundable in the event of suspension, revocation, or surrender of the sidewalk use permit during the term of validity.
