§ 146-533. Permit requirements
(a)
No person or business shall establish, operate, or continue to operate a sidewalk café on any public street or sidewalk unless such person or business obtains a valid sidewalk use permit pursuant to this division.
(b)
No person or business shall place a display or A-frame sign on any public street or sidewalk unless such person or business obtains a valid sidewalk use permit pursuant to this division.
(c)
Sidewalk use permits shall be issued only to validly licensed businesses that wish to provide sidewalk cafés on the sidewalk adjacent to their businesses for use by the general public, or that wish to place A-frame signage or limited displays of merchandise on the sidewalk in conjunction with the licensed business establishment.
(d)
The eligibility for such permits shall be determined by the temporary use standards of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and/or the applicable standards of the zoning district in which the subject property is situated.
