§ 146-452. Identification tag required for restoration.

  • All permanent asphalt, concrete and brick street repairs shall be identified with a tag placed a minimum of one per 50 feet of trench resurfacing. In the case of small cuts, one tag in the center shall be required. The permit holder shall obtain said tag from the department of public works. The tag shall be color coded, in accordance with department of public works specifications and include year of the repair. Each tag shall be embedded at zero grade tolerance or slightly below in the new surface. Failure to permit holder to mark pavement cuts may result in forfeiture of guarantee compliance deposit, and the permit holder shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $300.00 per day in accordance with section 1-13. The director of the department of public works may direct that an alternative system be used in lieu of the identification tag for the tracking of restoration work.
