§ 146-437. Limitations on permits.

  • (a)

    Tunneling. In no case shall tunneling of any character in excess of 12 feet be permitted except by special permission and authority of the director of the department of public works. Applicants for permits under this division shall state in their applications whether or not tunneling is contemplated in excess of 12 feet and if so to what extent.

    (b)

    Time limitations in business district. In the case of permits for service cuts to be installed in the area bounded by Esplanade, Howard, Mississippi River, and Claiborne Avenue, the director of the department of public works may designate hours at which work will be performed.
