§ 130-57. Penalties.

The penalty for knowingly reporting false information on this report or incomplete information or the intentional failure to report transactions or not following the procedures or regulations as required by this division shall count as one offense for each instance or for each motor vehicle body part included, when more than one motor vehicle body part is transferred in the same transaction.

First offense—A minimum fine of $250.00 and a maximum fine of $500.00, and up to six months imprisonment, and the revocation of the permit to operate as a secondhand dealer for a one-year period.

Second offense—A minimum fine of $500.00 and up to six months imprisonment, and the revocation of the permit to operate as a secondhand dealer for a two-year period.

Third offense and any additional offenses—A minimum fine of $500.00 and a minimum of one month imprisonment with up to six months imprisonment and the revocation of the permit to operate as a secondhand dealer for a minimum three-year period.
