§ 122-145. Privilege nontransferable, etc.

  • The grantee of a switch track shall not exercise such privilege except in connection with his own business. He shall not lease such utilities or grant the right to use them to any other person and no charge shall be made to the city for using such utilities for public purposes. Switch track privileges shall be inalienable and not transferable. But a grantee may subrogate another to all rights and liabilities with respect to the privilege granted upon specific written notice to the director of the department of public works, giving the name and address of the person to whom the subrogation is made and securing the consent of the council.
