§ 10-116. Effective Dates.

(1)

The reorganization of the form of government effected by this Charter shall occur on May 1, 1954, and the first officials elected pursuant to this Charter shall take office on the date.

(2)

The provisions of this Charter relating to the qualification of candidates for official positions and for the conducting of elections shall become effective on July 1, 1953.
