§ 4-703. Board of Building Standards and Appeals.

    Composition. There shall be attached to the Department a Board of Building Standards and Appeals to consist of five members who are domiciled in and electors of the City to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. The Director of this Department shall not be a member of this Board.

    (2)

    Functions. The Board shall:

    (a)

    Hear and determine appeals on all matters arising under ordinances or regulations pertaining to the design, construction, alteration and demolition of buildings.

    (b)

    Hear and determine appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of building regulations of the City.
