§ 4-201. Election and Term.

The electors of the City shall elect a Mayor at an election to be held in accordance with the election laws of the State. The Mayor shall take office on the second Monday in January and every four years thereafter following election. A person who has served as Mayor for more than one and one-half terms in two consecutive terms shall not be eligible for election as Mayor for the succeeding term.
