The Commission shall:
(1)

Promote historic districts and landmarks for the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public.

(2)

Assist in preserving, protecting, and regulating buildings, sites, monuments, structures, and districts of historic interest or importance within the City.

(3)

Assist in preserving and enhancing the environmental quality of neighborhoods.

(4)

Establish and improve property values through support of preservation activities.

(5)

Foster economic development and manage growth.
