§ 4-1902. Functions.

The Commission shall:
(1)

Promote Central Business District historic districts and landmarks for the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public, especially the residents of New Orleans.

(2)

Assist in preserving, protecting, and regulating buildings, sites, monuments, structures, and districts of historic interest or importance within the Central Business District of New Orleans.

(3)

Assist in preserving and enhancing the environmental quality of the Central Business District.

(4)

Establish and improve property values through support of preservation activities.

(5)

Foster economic development and encourage balanced growth.
