§ 4-1201. Composition.

(1)

The Department of Health shall be headed by a Director of Health, to be appointed by the Chief Administrative Officer with the approval of the Mayor.

(2)

The Director shall have had at least five years experience in the administration of health programs in either the public or private sector, shall possess a degree in medicine or an advanced degree in nursing or public health, and shall possess such other qualifications as may be required of a health officer by applicable state law.
