§ 3-122. Official Journal.

    The Clerk of Council shall annually offer a contract for the publication of the official journal of the City to be awarded to the lowest competitive bidder meeting the specifications contained in the bid documents. The requirements for the official journal shall be established by ordinance.

    (2)

    The ordinance establishing requirements shall also stipulate that the official journal will accept for publication, at not more than the same rates, the official publications of the various officers, departments and boards of the City.

    (3)

    Unless prohibited by applicable and preemptive state law, the Council may provide by ordinance that any item required by this Charter to be published in the official journal may instead be published electronically or in a register. The Chief Administrative Officer shall be responsible for implementation of said ordinance. Any contract for such publication shall be subject to applicable public bid laws and competitive selection procedures.
