§ 98-69. Fire prevention and protection.

  • (a)

    The mobile home park shall provide, in each service building, one unit of first aid fire extinguishing equipment and an additional unit for every 2,500 square feet in the structure.

    (b)

    Standard fire hydrants and fire service lines shall be installed in such a manner that a fire hydrant shall be located within 300 feet of each mobile home site.

    (c)

    A telephone shall be provided for the convenience of the occupants of the park for emergency calls. The telephone shall be located in a conspicuous, well-lighted area and shall be accessible at all times.

    (d)

    No open fires shall be permitted which would endanger life or property. Portable barbecue pits are permitted on the individual mobile home site. However, such fires shall not be left unattended at any time.

    (e)

    Regulations of the National Fire Protection Association shall prevail except when in conflict with more restrictive municipal ordinances.
