§ 90-125. Same—Official agencies exempt from payment of fees; copies for victim's relative.
(a)
Official agencies of the city, state and federal government shall be furnished such copies and research reports as they may request without payment of fees set forth in section 90-123; provided, however, that such agency is legally entitled thereto, and that making such information available to the particular agency does not violate good criminal investigation practice or procedure.
(b)
In the case of a violent crime such as, but not limited to, purse snatching, burglary, armed robbery, rape or homicide, the victim, or in the case of homicide the victim's closest relative, may request one copy of the police report without payment of fees outlined in section 90-123. In no case shall this privilege be extended to furnishing to the victim more than one free copy of the police report, neither shall this privilege be extended to any representative of the victim, except as stated above in the case of homicide.
