§ 87-6. Qualifications.

To become domestic partners, neither person may be married, the two may not be related in any way which would bar marriage in this state, and both must be 18 or older. Any different domestic partnership of which either was previously a member must have ended more than six months before the new declaration of domestic partnership was signed, but this requirement will not apply where the earlier domestic partnership ended because of the death of one of its members.
