§ 82-319. Maintenance of blood-lead register.

  • (a)

    All practicing physicians in the city shall be required by this article to submit within one week, reports of all cases of lead poisoning as defined by the Centers for Disease Control ("CDC") to the department of health.

    (b)

    The department of health shall maintain a register of all persons whose blood contains or contained a blood lead level equal to or above 10 micrograms per deciliter of lead or the current standard given by the CDC. The name, date of birth, sex, address, mother's maiden name, case number, and blood-level of the person shall be registered and kept in the department files. If the person be a minor, the above information must be given by parents and placed in such files.
