§ 82-227. Request for parole to tubercular hospital.
(a)
A person infected with tuberculosis sentenced to the house of detention or the parish prison by a municipal judge for violation of a city ordinance may voluntarily request in writing that he be paroled for the purpose of being transferred to a recognized tubercular hospital for treatment therein and receive credit toward the serving of such sentence while in such tubercular institution.
(b)
This request must be acted upon and approved by the sentencing judge, by an official of the tubercular hospital receiving the applicant, and official of the house of detention or the parish prison to which the applicant may have been committed.
