§ 74-46. Operating requirements for alarm or surveillance equipment licensees.

  • Each alarm and surveillance equipment supplier or installer licensed to do business in this city shall meet the following operating requirements:

    (1)

    Business office. The licensee must have a business office and location and a listed business telephone answered 24 hours a day.

    (2)

    Twenty-four-hour service. The licensee shall have available, on a 24-hour basis, personnel who can respond for emergency service purposes.

    (3)

    Three years' minimum experience. The licensee must have an employee or agent with a minimum of three years' prior alarm experience involving the installation and service of security alarm systems.

    (4)

    Inventory. The licensee must maintain an inventory to provide normal service within a 24-hour period of time.

    (5)

    Company identification. Each alarm system must have, permanently displayed, a decal or sign giving the name of the company or individual who can be contacted for service and/or information concerning that system.
