§ 74-10. Handling gasoline, etc., on wharves, etc.
Every person handling gasoline, benzine, naphtha, petrol, fuel alcohol, turpentine or any other flammable liquid which may ignite at a flash point of 90 degrees Fahrenheit and under, on, across or within 50 feet of the land side of any public or private wharf, dock or shed of the city, shall handle such liquid only in tightly secured and closed receptacles as listed by the Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., which shall at all times remain closed and secured while on vessels lying at any wharf, dock or shed in the Port of New Orleans, except when it is being actually poured into the tank of any gasoline-propelled vessel or the tank of any stove in which gasoline may be used.
