§ 70-409. City council action on recommendations.

Latest version.
  • Upon receipt of the economic development fund recommendations from the mayor or the clerk of council, the city council shall accept, approve, amend or reject the recommendations submitted. Any amendment to the recommendations received from the mayor or the clerk of council may be made by removing one or more recommended projects, and/or placing funds in reserves, and/or including one or more new projects previously reviewed by the advisory committee. During its consideration of the plan, the council may also submit to the advisory committee new or previously reviewed projects for its review or reconsideration and recommendation. After receiving the committee recommendation, or in the event the committee makes no recommendation on the new or previously reviewed projects and 60 days pass from the request for review, the council may amend the previously adopted plan to add one or more projects, provided that any project added has been submitted to the advisory committee and sufficient unallocated funds are available.
