§ 70-48. Banks authorized to cash checks signed as provided in this article.

Each of the fiscal agency banks of the city and each other lawful depository is authorized and requested to accept, honor, cash and pay, without limit as to amount and without further inquiry, until written notice of the revocation of the authority hereby granted is actually received by any such depository, all checks drawn on it against funds to the credit of the city under a fiscal agency contract or otherwise and signed as provided by sections 70-38 to 70-47 including checks payable to the personal order of the official signing on behalf of the city or otherwise, or deposited to the personal account of any such official or otherwise. The revocation herein referred to shall be by ordinance, resolution or motion adopted by the council, duly certified by the clerk or the assistant clerk of council.
