§ 66-245. Assessment of costs of extinguishing fire.

  • Any person who maintains or who allows the maintenance of a private dump and who intentionally sets fire to or allows the setting of fire to such materials by their failure to take all necessary steps to prevent the setting of fires to such materials by other persons or by spontaneous combustion to such an extent that it becomes necessary for the fire department to extinguish the fire shall be liable to the city for the cost of dispatching the personnel and equipment of the fire department to the dump to extinguish the fire.
