§ 66-243. Refuse dumps facing a roadway to be enclosed by fence and equipped with water line.

  • (a)

    No person shall dump, leave or deposit or permit such dumping, leaving or depositing on lands or premises owned or occupied by them of any of the trash, refuse, garbage or other materials described in section 66-282(a), where such land or premises is situated adjacent to any public road, street, avenue, highway or thoroughfare in an area where same is lawfully permitted that is not properly enclosed on boundary lines facing a roadway with a proper, suitable and substantial fence, constructed of wood, metal or masonry material, in sound condition, substantially free from deterioration, not less than seven feet nor more than ten feet high to prevent the ready entry of unauthorized persons on such premises or land and properly screening such enclosed area from public view; and provided, further, that such fence shall be kept in a constant state of good repair; and further, that no sign or other advertising matter shall be placed upon the fence.

    (b)

    Land used for the dumping or depositing of trash, refuse, garbage or other materials described in section 66-282(a) shall be equipped with an adequate waterline, where water is available from city water mains.
