§ 66-137. Administration.
(a)
The noise control program required by this article shall be administered by the director of the department of health and the superintendent of the department of police. In order to implement and enforce this article, and for the general purpose of noise abatement and control, the duly appointed and authorized representative of the department of health or the department of police shall have the power to:
(1)
Perform noise monitoring on any public place or on receiving property.
(2)
Make necessary inspections and tests.
(3)
Execute other necessary action, including variance and permit review, and institute necessary proceedings to prosecute or enjoin violators of the noise control ordinance.
(b)
All other city agencies and departments shall, to the fullest extent consistent with their authority, carry out their programs in such a manner as to further the policy of this article.
