§ 54-488. Same—Enforcement.

The superintendent of police is hereby authorized to grant enforcement and citation powers in accordance with section 4-502(2) of the Charter to the social workers of the parish school board assigned to the various truancy centers in the city for the purpose of obtaining compliance with the compulsory school attendance provisions. Such powers which may be granted by the superintendent of police shall be in addition to the normal enforcement and citation powers of the police department.
