§ 50-94. Disposition of cash bond and cash deposited therewith.

  • When a cash bond is made with the clerk of a section of the municipal court, the bond itself and the cash received shall be turned over by such clerk to the clerk of the municipal court or a deputy duly authorized by him to handle cash bonds. The clerk of the municipal court, or the deputy authorized by him to handle such bonds shall, no later than the next business day following the date on which such cash is received by him, deposit it in a checking account carried with a bank in the city, denominated "Bank Account, Municipal Court of New Orleans." Checks for withdrawals shall be signed by the clerk of the municipal court and countersigned by the judge of the section having jurisdiction of the case.
