§ 50-108. Release from imprisonment upon payment of a determinable sum.
Whenever any person shall have been sentenced for any cause whatsoever by any judge to a term of imprisonment in default of payment of the fine, such person shall, at any time before the expiration of such term of imprisonment, be entitled to obtain his release upon paying a fine to the judge of a sum of money which shall bear the same proportion to the fine imposed as the unexpired sentence bears to the original sentence. Whenever the payment of such portion of the fine imposed is made to the judge he shall give a receipt to such person for the amount thus paid and make the proper notation on the court's record.
