§ 30-1676. Vehicle requirements.
(a)
The type and size of vehicles operated under this article shall comply with the regulations and licensing of the department of transportation and development and with other applicable local ordinances governing weight and size for the streets that must be traveled.
(b)
The bodies of vehicles used to transport septic waste, solid waste, recovered materials, recyclable materials, waste tires and white goods shall be covered at all times, except during loading and unloading, in a manner that prevents rain from reaching waste, inhibits access by rodents and insects, prevents waste from spilling, leaking, falling or blowing from the vehicle, minimizes escape of odors and does not create a nuisance.
(c)
The bodies of containerized vehicles used for the transportation of industrial oil, lubricating oil, and used oil shall be leak-resistant and covered so as to prevent leakage, spillage or emissions.
(d)
The bodies of all vehicles used to transport solid waste that produces leachate shall be equipped with a collection and containment system to ensure that leachate from the waste is not discharged in violation of state regulations.
(e)
The interior and exterior of the body of all vehicles regulated in this section shall be maintained in a sanitary condition.
