§ 30-840. Separate drying rooms.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person within the city, except when clothes are dried by the forced circulation of heated air or by circulation of the clothes mechanically through air artificially heated, to dry any article of clothing washed in a laundry in any room other than the one used exclusively for drying purposes. Such room must be entirely shut off from any other room, except that it may be connected with another room by means of a door opening thereto, in which event such door shall always be closed when not being used by a person entering or leaving such drying room, each such door to be equipped with a self-closing device. This room must be ventilated by means of at least two windows, opening to the outer air, which shall be on different sides.
