§ 2-454. Duties of research staff.

(a)

The research director shall serve as chief of the council research staff and shall be solely responsible to the council.

(b)

The council research staff shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

(1)

To perform research into the formulation and preparation of legislation;

(2)

To prepare ordinances, motions and resolutions for the council;

(3)

To perform administrative duties for the council;

(4)

To analyze and review planning and zoning proposals;

(5)

To analyze and review policies regarding personnel;

(6)

To prepare summaries of legislation for the council;

(7)

To function as a support unit for the councilmanic fiscal office.
