§ 26-214. Generally.

(a)

The provisions of this division shall govern the minimum mechanical and electrical facilities and equipment for occupying a structure. The owner of the structure shall provide and maintain such mechanical and electrical facilities and equipment in compliance with the requirements contained herein.

(b)

A person shall not occupy as an owner-occupant or permit another person to occupy any premises that does not comply with the requirements of this division.
