§ 170-531. Issuance.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The directors may, after compliance with the procedures set forth in sections 170-449 and 170-452, issue general permits for certain clearly described categories of uses requiring coastal use permits. After a general permit has been issued, individual uses falling within those categories will not require full individual permit processing unless the directors determine, on a case-by-case basis, that the public interest requires full review.

    (b)

General permits may be issued only for those uses that are substantially similar in nature, that cause only minimal adverse impacts when performed separately, that will have only minimal adverse cumulative impacts and that otherwise do not impair the fulfillment of the objectives and policies of the coastal management program.
