§ 162-1830. School bus trip sheets and records.

  • (a)

    Pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklists, which shall be subject to the approval of the director of safety and permits, must be completed by drivers each day and maintained by the CPNC holder for a period of no less than two years and be available for examination by the director of safety and permits, or his designee.

    (b)

    Every business entity or individual operating a school bus shall keep daily records including dispatch records, vehicle safety complaints, all accepted telephone calls, daily vehicle sign out logs, vehicle collision reports, service response time reports, reports of crime against for hire drivers, lost property reports, CPNC numbers, and drivers of each vehicle for which a CPNC has been issued. Such records shall be preserved for a period of two years and be available for examination by the director of safety and permits, or his designee.
