§ 162-1585. Unsummoned tow truck response prohibited.

  • It shall be unlawful for a driver or other employee of any towing company not licensed to perform zone responsibilities by the department of police to stop at the scene of a wreck involving heavy-duty vehicles which has occurred on a street or other property of the city and to provide or offer to provide towing services for the heavy-duty vehicle or to approach a heavy-duty disabled vehicle on a street or other public property of the city to offer assistance for remuneration unless the towing company has been summoned by the operator or a representative of the operator of the wrecked or disabled vehicle.
