§ 162-452. Diversion of passenger from designated destination.

  • It shall be unlawful for the operator of any for-hire vehicle governed by this article to divert or attempt to divert a passenger in any such vehicle from a legitimate destination designated by such passenger. It shall likewise be unlawful for any and all parties concerned to enter into an agreement between such operator and the owner, agent or employee of a commercial enterprise whereby any such passenger would be diverted or attempted to be diverted from the destination of the passenger to another destination of to offer, ask, give or receive any remuneration for such diversion or attempted diversion of a passenger or passengers.
