§ 162-197. Temporary certificates for special events.

  • The director of the department of safety and permits is hereby authorized to issue temporary CPNC's for special events and special needs declared by the city council or for special needs declared by the mayor or the mayor's authorized designee subject to the following restrictions:

    (1)

    The temporary CPNC will be valid beginning at 12:00 noon on the day prior to the declared special event or special need and will end at 12:00 noon the day following the special event or special need.

    (2)

    Certificates shall only be issued for vehicles that are properly licensed, registered, insured, in compliance with all applicable inspections standards, and any other standards that the bureau may require.

    (3)

    Operators of such licensed vehicles shall themselves be properly licensed to drive such vehicles.

    (4)

    All fees and charges for temporary certificates issued under this section shall be as outlined in section 162-195.
