§ 158-1033. What wires need not be insulated.

  • No electric light and power conductors, cables and wires, and neutral conductors effectively grounded, used in overhead construction outside of the established underground district set forth in Ordinance No. 13,838, Council Series, need be covered by insulation but may be strung bare, provided that all service drop conductors shall be rubber covered or weatherproof. The safety of all above systems shall be determined by their conformity with the safety rules for installations and maintenance of electric supply and communication lines of the most current edition of the National Electrical Safety Code together with any interim amendments, deletions or additions that may be made from time to time thereto.
